What to Bring With

The following is only a recommendation:

Clothing

Neutral shades such as olive green, brown or grey is recommended. Bring clothing for the warmer African climate. Consider laundry is done daily.

  •  3 pairs long or short pants 

  •  3 shirts

  •  2 pairs of light, soft soled hunting shoes (walked in)

  •  1 pair of running shoes 

  •  1 hat 

  • 5 pairs of underwear

  • 5 pairs of quality socks

  • 1 heavy jacket with a hood – the evenings and mornings on back of the hunting vehicle can be very cold

  • 1 pair of gloves

  • 1 sweater and sweat pants to wear in the evenings

  • 1 bathing costume/suit (from September to April)

  • 1 lightweight rain jacket or poncho

  • 1 set of semi-formal clothes if you want to dine out in a semi-formal restaurant

 

Hunting Equipment

  • 1 flashlight (extra batteries or rechargeable at 220v)

  • 1 camera

  • Basic rifle cleaning kit - pull-through

  • Soft rifle bag

  • 1 pair of quality binoculars – 7x35 or 8x40 or 10x50

  • 1 set of thermal optics (optional) - if you are leopard or lion hunting to greatly enhance your hunting experience

Personal

  • Personal toiletries

  • Sunscreen & insect repellent

  • Medications – bring your own set of medication for all basic pains and ailments

  • 1 Multi-plug electrical adapter should you wish to charge more than one item. We have a multi-purpose adapter in your chalet - we recommend you buy an adapter at O R Thambo Airport in Johannesburg.
